Congratulations to the winners in the Julie Hyzy Grace Under Pressure giveaway. The copies will go to Janet F. of Sylvania, OH and Georgia W. from Spring Hill, TN. The books will go out in the mail tomorrow.
This week, I'm giving away mysteries about art and music.
Author Susan Shea will provide a lucky winner an autographed copy of her new mystery, Murder in the Abstract. You'll want to check out this debut mystery. Dani O'Rourke loves her job as the top fundraiser for the Devor Museum in San Francisco, until someone falls out of the fifth floor window. Since that's the window to Dani's office, and the victim had a note asking him to meet her there, she's immediately on the suspect list. But, Dani knows too much about the cutthroat world of abstract art to take it lying down. Murder in the Abstract is an enjoyable mystery that takes Dani from San Francisco to Santa Fe, a city no less dangerous for Dani O'Rourke.
If you prefer the world of ragtime music, you might want to try to win Larry Karp's The Ragtime Fool. Even if you haven't read the previous two books in the trilogy, Larry assured us that his books can be read in any order, or separately. So, take a chance on this book that takes readers back to 1951 and Sedalia, Missouri, where ragtime genius Scott Joplin is about to receive the accolades he deserves. However, rival factions are competing for his journal, and the Ku Klux Klan has plans to blow up a high school auditorium during a ceremony honoring Joplin.
So, art or music? If you would like to win one of the books, email me at Email me!. If that link doesn't work for you, the email address is: lholstine@yahoo.com. Your subject line should read, "Win Murder in the Abstract" or "Win The Ragtime Fool." Your message should include your mailing address. Entrants only in the U.S., please.
The contest will end Friday morning, June 25 at 4:30 AM, since there's a good chance I won't be home Thursday evening. I'll announce the winners Friday morning, and the books will go out that day. Good luck!
