Winners and a More Traditional Contest

Congratulations to the winners of the last contest.  Monnie B. from Mt. Gilead, OH will receive Lisa Gardner's The Neighbor, and Jamie Freveletti's Running Dark goes to Sharon B. from Albuquerque, NM .  I'll put them in the mail tomorrow.

Last week, I offered thrillers. This week, I'm offering more traditional mysteries.  If you read my review earlier today, you know how much I liked Cleo Coyle's Roast Mortem.  This isn't strictly a cozy mystery, despite all of the recipes and coffee-making tips.  There's too much tragedy, and emphasis on real life.  But, it's a winner.  As Clare Cosi hunts for an arsonist who seems to have targeted coffeehouses, she's afraid she might be hunting a rogue firefighter.  Author Cleo Coyle has offered a signed hardcover, and she'll be sending it to one lucky winner.

Or, would you prefer a trip to Wales with Elizabeth J. Duncan's A Brush with Death?  Penny Brannigan moved into the cottage she inherited from her late friend, Emma Teasdale.  But, she also inherited Emma's past, a past Elizabeth never knew about.  Emma's affair with an artist ended with a hit-and-run accident.  But, all these years later, Elizabeth suspects it might have been murder.  Although she's in the middle of building a new business, she takes up the cold case.  I have an ARC of A Brush with Death to give away.

This week, you could win Roast Mortem or A Brush with Death.   You can enter to win both, but I need separate entries. Email me at Email me!. If that link doesn't work for you, the email address is: lholstine@yahoo.com. Your subject line should read either "Win Roast Mortem" or "Win A Brush with Death." Your message should include your mailing address. Entrants only in the U.S., please.

The contest will end Thursday, Aug. 12 at 6 p.m. PT. The winners will be selected by random number generator. I'll notify the winners and mail the books the next day. Good luck!
