We arrived in New York late in the day on Wednesday, and had time to check in at the Hotel Mela, a boutique hotel in the Theatre District. Cute room with the three priorities we had - within walking distance of the theaters, a place to collapse at night, and WiFi access. WiFi is a little iffy at night, but good in the morning.
Although New York is having rainy weather right now, we weren't going to let it stop us. We already had tickets for the two hour Circle Line sunset cruise. No sunset, but great cruise and an opportunity to see a number of landmarks. I was here once before, about ten years ago for BEA, but had very little time to play tourist. This time, we're taking advantage of touristy things.
So, here are my pictures from the Circle Line Sunset Cruise.

Had a light dinner afterward. Even better, was the cheesecake from Junior's that we picked up to take back to the hotel. Junior's is supposed to have some of the best cheesecake in New York, and I have to say it was wonderful. So was the bed, after I peeled myself out of clothing that was absolutely soaked. Good night's sleep, and ready to hit the city the next day.
